About ICESD 2026

2026 4th International Conference on Economic and Social Development (ICESD 2026) will be held in Tianjin, China, from September 4 to 6, 2026. As a prestigious academic platform with a three-year legacy, it aims to gather global scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore cutting-edge issues and innovative solutions in economic and social development against the backdrop of the 14th Five-Year Plan’s opening year. Focusing on hot topics such as new quality productive forces, domestic demand-driven growth, and sustainable development, the conference facilitates interdisciplinary exchanges, promotes collaborative research, and bridges the gap between academic exploration and practical application. It serves as a vital nexus for sharing frontier findings, fostering international cooperation, and advancing the sustainable and high-quality development of global economy and society. All accepted papers will be reviewed rigorously and be published in related international academic proceedings.

Conference Renaming Announcement

The conference series was formerly known as the International Conference on Urban Planning and Regional Economy (UPRE), which has been successfully held for three consecutive editions.

To better reflect the evolving research scope and interdisciplinary focus, the conference has been officially renamed as the 2026 4th International Conference on Economic and Social Development (ICESD 2026).

ICESD 2026 continues the academic legacy of UPRE while expanding its scope to include broader topics in economic development, social innovation, and interdisciplinary research. The organizing committee remains committed to maintaining high academic standards and providing an international platform for scholarly exchange.
